Coefficient of Friction Testing

The coefficient of friction is a mathematical expression of the relationship of sliding forces between materials. Coefficient of friction testing in the field is accomplished by using a portable tribometer, which is also known as a slip meter. Coefficient of friction testing provides an indication of whether slippery conditions exist. Error Analysis has significant experience with walkway surface testing and interpretation of coefficient of friction testing.
