A former Federal government research scientist, Dr. Cohen has over 150 refereed publications, including 8 books and book chapters, has personally investigated over 7,500 injury accidents, has given over 1,250 depositions and has testified in court on over 350 occasions, about equally for plaintiff and defense, in 38 states, territories and Canadian provinces. Dr. Cohen specializes in premises, products, commercial, transportation and recreational accident causation and analyses.

During his more than 10 years of professional experience, Dr. Cohen has worked as a human factors and ergonomics consultant on safety-related projects across a variety of industries and settings, including construction, energy generation, food service, consumer products, warehousing, and hospitality.  Joseph Cohen's research and writings have been published in books, professional journals, and trade magazines.  He frequently speaks to professional groups and lectures at universities in Southern California.

Cindy A. LaRue, M.S., CPE

Ms. LaRue has degrees from Ohio State University and the University of Southern California. Her human factors and safety training comes from a strong foundation in Industrial Engineering and Systems Management. Ms. LaRue has nearly 25 years of professional experience and is the firm's principal engineer responsible for investigating slip, trip, misstep and fall accidents, collisions involving visibility, perception-reaction and other engineering case issues. In addition to a variety of articles in professional publications, Ms. LaRue is an author of two leading professional handbooks concerning investigation and prevention of fall and ladder injuries, respectively.

Since 1992 she has been responsible for overseeing administrative staff and activities such as case management, scheduling and billing.
