Ergonomics
The fields of Ergonomics and Human Factors are the same. In other words, the terms are synonmous. To most people ergonomics refers to the fit between equipment and the physical characteristics and dimensions of people, such as with ergonomically-designed chairs or workstations. However, the field of ergonomics is much more. In point of fact, virtually any product or system that involves a human operator is amenable to ergonomic analysis.
Error Analysis consultants work in a variety of occupational and recreational settings, from offices to confined spaces to the open seas. We have extensive experience examining existing product, workstation, and environmental designs, facilitating re-designs, and testing their effectiveness.
All Error Analysis consultants are certified by the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE).
